Questions about the health impacts of wind turbines are an important part of the conversation as Ireland continues to expand its renewable energy capacity. The World Health Organization's Environmental Noise Guidelines for the European Region conclude that the evidence linking wind turbine noise to health effects is either absent or of low or very low quality. Ensuring that communities have access to accurate, evidence-based information is essential as Ireland works towards a cleaner, more secure energy future.
Justin Moran, Director of External Affairs at Wind Energy Ireland, joined The Hard Shoulder on Newstalk alongside Independent Ireland TD Richard O'Donoghue to discuss concerns around wind turbines and health.
